Our Location

Wooloweyah is a small suburb on the verge of Yuraygir National Park, one of the largest National Parks on the NSW coast. Pets are not allowed in the National Park but there are many places that dogs can go. There is a sports field across the road near the Community Hall. Although this is a popular dog-walking spot, it is rarely crowded. It has a children's playground, tennis court for hire and space where your dog can run, play and chase balls. We have dog-friendly beaches locally including our closest beach, Green Point. We are also close walking distance to the Lake’s boat ramp, a popular fishing spot, with picnic area. There are two fabulous cafes at the next nearest beach, Spooky Beach, Angourie, with outdoor dining.

The Coast Wattle

There are many species of Wattle on the East Coast of Australia. Acacia Longifolia is the Coastal Wattle or Coast Wattle. Used as a food source for Indigenous Australians and of course many birds, this wattle is found in coastal areas from South-East Australia to Southern Queensland. Its seeds were fire-roasted or roasted and ground to make type of damper. It is an import dune stabiliser and flowers mainly in late Winter and Spring. The name of our Bed and Breakfast is indicative of the many beautiful varieties of Wattle in this area, which bring an explosion of yellow flowers in season
